Meet the Founder/CEO of The Bar: Sharon Smith
For over five decades, Sharon has lived and breathed health, fitness, and performance. A lifelong athlete, certified trainer, nutrition enthusiast, and competitive bodybuilder in her 60's, she has dedicated her life to understanding what truly fuels strength, vitality, and healthy aging.
During years of intense training and competition prep, Sharon struggled to find a protein bar that tasted good while also delivering the quality nutrition her body needed for performance, recovery, and energy. Most options on the market were either overloaded with artificial ingredients or lacked the macro balance needed to support an active lifestyle. So she created her own.
What began as a homemade recipe crafted in her kitchen became THE BAR- a nutrient-dense, non-baked protein bar made with real ingredients, designed to fuel workouts, recovery, busy days, and healthy living without sacrificing taste.
Today, Sharon is building a growing protein bar company rooted in the belief that nutrition should support both performance and longevity. Her mission is simple: create a protein bar that tastes like something made with care at home, while delivering the quality ingredients active people need to thrive.
Meet the COO of The Bar: Brian Hardy
Brian is an Army Veteran with over 30 years of dedicated experience in Law Enforcement and Federal Service combined. Today, he serves as the Chief Operating Officer of The Bar, where his passion for discipline, performance, and integrity is helping shape a company committed to redefining what a protein bar should be.
